Maple syrup About Us I began tapping silver maple trees in 2009 to get a feel for their potential for maple syrup production in South Dakota. I produced 3 gallons in 2009, 5 gallons in 2010 and expect to produce 15 gallons in 2011. This is an excellent, light tasting maple syrup. Practices (our standards for raising or making our products) Sap is collected from mid-March to early April and condensed through boiling until a 66% sugar content is reached. There are absolutely no artificial ingrediens in this product. Additional Information Pure maple syrup is a wonderful all-purpose sweetner with the added health benefits of anti-oxident properies.
